Cosmo-Blinkie

More Cosmo love for the DT call…The clock is my favorite!

cosmo cricket clock frame

I do love the Cosmo Cricket  line because I am partial to that vintage retro vibe (like the vintage toy and book in the picture) that their products have. I usually surround myself with my favorite colors and papers by framing them up on the wall, but I decided I wanted to do more than just frame these papers I wanted something that I would actually see everyday and what better object than a clock …. I always check the time to keep in line with the schedule of the household you know the little man can’t miss snack time and story time. I used Cosmo Cricket’s Early Bird line for the paper and Girl Friday line for the ready-set chipboard letters. Of course being the unconventional sort I am I couldn’t use numbers for a clock so I spelled out TIME TO PLAY with a few added embelishments  around the clock, distressed the whole lot and just assembled the clock face at the end. Not bad if I do say so myself …. all I can say is that looking at it makes me smile. So it will be prominently be displayed in my scrapbook room where it can inspire me.  Seriously don’t you just love the little smiling toaster and the toast popping out of it… (well OK it’s actually circling around the toaster but just use your imagination :) …. too cute!

Here are other views of the clock one is a profile of sorts and the other one is it hanging on my yellow wall.

Sweet&Colorful

cosmo cricket LO

Here is a LO featuring my sweet and adorable DS of course. As you can see I used a lot of different papers from Cosmo Cricket for my tabs and strips.

cosmo cricket LO close up

I love how they all work together no matter what line of paper I use from them. I have grown fond of the tab punch that I used to create the tabs I just like the shape of it really.  I used my Cricut (funny how both things I love in scrap booking have to do with Crickets..hmmm not sure what that means ) well back to what we were talking about…oh yes! I cut the circles out with my Cricut using Cosmo Cricket paper (I’m still getting a kick out of that…don’t mind the lady behind the computer I am just getting giddy)  I made the small corner circle into a pocket and it holds a tag that reads “hey there Cookie” so appropriate for my cookie lover.

I hope these projects have provided you with inspiration to create with your stash of Cosmo Cricket products.

( I smell a class baking make sure to check back in the classes section (see tab above)  to see when this LO becomes part of a 2 page LO class.

family frames

I saw these cute frames for only $1 and I knew that I just had to make these for us. How fun are these? the hardest part was finding a picture of me close up. The only one I could find are the ones where I am wearing sunglasses…I am usually behind the camera so finding pictures of myself that are not out of focus or my face being cut off  can be a challenge sometimes. :)

bunny

If the days were all like today… what a wonderful world this would be. We had an  AMAZING day today, no we did not do anything spectacular or anything particularly  amazing like go sky diving or went rock climbing or went scuba diving in Australia. The day was just the perfect day to have lunch with the family and enjoy the wonderful sunny day with a constant breeze blowing through your hair. This was the type of day that I love to just spread a blanket under a tree and watch clouds roll by with my wonderful husband and son lying down beside me. I love seeing shapes of bunnies, elephants and pirate ship drift past us against a clear blue sky.  I hope you had a day as wonderful as today  and don’t forget to share your smile with someone today.

Cupcake Dreams LO1

I asolutely LOVE cupcakes! They are just so sweet and so petite. I especially love the amazing decorated cupcakes some people have created out there. They look too good to eat sometimes. Well as I dream of this sweet and fluffy miniature cakes. I am currently working on a layout titled “Cupcake Dreams”  the LO is not entirely finished so I can’t show you guys the whole thing so consider this a sneak peek.  I used the sweet cupcake stamp from Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff to use as my accents and embelishments with this LO. It is so sweet. Cupcake Dreams LO2I printed out my digital stamp to my desired sizes, for the title I printed them out about an inch high. I can’t wait to show you the rest but I am still working on the mechanics of something. After printing out the image and coloring them with my prisma markers I added a sprinkle of glitter to the top. I love these little gems. I cut out the title on my Cricut using the Sure Cuts A Lot software and then just layered on the sweetness. Remember to keep in mind that Lindsay is still running her SALE just until the end of this month so get there quick to take advantage that when you spend $10.00 you get a free digital card kit for FREE. Make sure to check out the Design teams blogs because there is another hidden freebie among them and who does not like a freebie. They have some amazing projects to show as well so make sure to stop by and leave them some love while you are there.

simple flower JPGHi it’s been a while since I shared one of my cut files. So here is a simple yet very versatile flower file that you can use with your cards or scrapbooks. I also have created a card using the free files I have posted below. Make sure to take note that the file for the envelope comes in .svg or .jpg formats. To make the card I first cut out my envelope pattern using my Cricut and the Sure Cuts A Lot software, but if you don’t have a Cricut just print out the .jpg file and you can use scissors to cut it out. Then I cut out a 4×4 piece of card stock for the base of my card (this will nestle inside your envelope) you can watch the video if you wish to see how I made this card. Thanks for visiting and have fun creating.

The chance to sign up for my BLOG CANDY (see post below) ends tomorrow so make sure to sign up for a chance to win if you haven’t already. Make it a GREAT day! Just Click on the icons below to download the files you want.

Thinking of you…

Thinking of Ewe

I have always liked sheep. Well I guess just the look of sheep because I never really had the experience of raising them or anything. I just like how they look so peaceful and gentle when they are out in a pasture. I also love how they are so playful with each other. Soooo adorable! I have been thinking of the many great people out there that have come and visited my blog and have sent me so many e-mails full of wonderful comments and inquiries about my creations.  I have reached over 10,000 hits in just a little over 2 months. I am so excited and so amazed and humbled by all of this … so I thought I would make a card that states just that…….

Thinking of Ewe SThinking of Ewe is a timeless and classic digital stamp available from Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff. To make the card I started by printing out the image on cream card stock and of course got my trusty watercolor crayons out and colored the image (face) of the sheep. I love the sheep that have black faces on them (sorry don’t know what they are called) so I wanted the face a darker color but black would have been too dark and would have made it difficult to distinguish the eyes so I opted for a muted tone of grey. I then added some wool fiber I had in my scrap stash and just randomly attached it to the sheeps body after the wool fiber was attached I also added some fun cream fiber just to give it a fluffier look. I love how cuddly and fuzzy this turned out. Just to remind all of you that once again there is a hidden freebie among the Design Team so make sure to check out theirs blogs and get your freebie. Also just a reminder that the sale is still going on at Lindsay’s shop…for every $10 you spend you get a free digital stamp kit. So have fun hunting for the freebie this week…(hint) it goes great with summer, you won’t want to miss this awesome freebie!
